There is one spot of curdled or uneven red glaze on the rim (upper right), which I believe is original to manufacture. There are also bumps and firing marks on the back side.

    8.5-inch
    picture plate from Vernon Kilns,
    from the Bits of Old England series (c. 1940s). This plate features a horse-drawn stage coach leaving a manor or inn.
    It has a rich
    colorful
    transferware design on
    the Ultra shape (but with flatter rim, slightly dipped in the center).
    This vintage plate is in good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines. The design is rich and intact. There is one spot of curdled or uneven red glaze on the rim (upper right), which I believe is original to manufacture. There are also bumps and firing marks on the back side.
